Retaining Wall Failure, Frankston

Here we have a small job we did for Marion in Frankston, her Retaining wall beneath her veranda slab had failed and needed to be fixed.

After assessing the job and walking through our plan of action with Marion we began our work.

We demolished the Existing wall and cleaned up any excess dirt, after checking the foundation was intact we drilled starter bars into the foundation and started laying the Blocks, On the Last course we notched the blocks and drilled cranked starter bars into the existing slab to ensure everything was tied together and not only strengthened the wall but also the concrete slab. Now came time to corefill the blocks with concrete, troweling the notched blocks off at the slab making it an easy job for the tiler, after a small repair to the brick return the job was finished off with a bagged finish.

The 3 Tonne of excess dirt, rubble and bricks were removed at the end of the job and the site left in a clean manner, the way any tradie should finish the job.
